Providing Excellent, Affordable Care Across the Arkansas Delta

491917815_1240332224760478_88411418013809049_nDePaul Community Health Centers of Arkansas (formerly The Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas) is a system of rural health care providers serving the people of Lincoln and Desha Counties and the surrounding areas in southeast Arkansas. Our Dumas, AR location is a certified Rural Health Clinic, designated by the National Association of Rural Health Clinics, and our Gould location is a Federal Qualified Health Center. Both locations operate with a sliding fee scale available to both uninsured and underinsured patients.

In southeast Arkansas, we began our work in 1989, when the Daughters of Charity conducted a survey of the health needs and the accessibility to health care by the poor in the area. The results showed a desperate shortage of health facilities and an urgent need for basic, affordable health care and social services. In 1990, in response to these findings, we opened St. Elizabeth Health Center in Gould (Lincoln County), and in 1992, we opened the DePaul Health Center in Dumas (Desha County). Both locations offer high-quality care and affordable payment options. In 1998, we opened a Wellness Center in Gould to provide health education programs and fitness services.
